#POPtober OXO POP Containers

Confession time.  I have ‘organizational’ challenges.  Perhaps a better way of wording this is to say that I have a lot of trouble figuring out how one keeps a pantry nice and neat with limited space.

My home prior to this one had a lot of cabinet and pantry space with shelves that pulled out so that I could, easily, see what was there.  Fast forward and my space is a bit more limited in a closet pantry.

When I received the OXO email about an upcoming campaign highlighting their POP Containers I was, literally, begging to be selected to participate.  Imagine my happiness when I found out Desserts Required had been selected.

How mortifying!

Of course, there was a panic moment of realizing that I would be sharing with you my ‘before’ pictures of my pantry as it used to be.  I am able to bake five different recipes at the same time, while checking my computer, talking with my children and answering the phone, all in a very neat and organized style.  BUT, my pantry presented a challenge that was way outside my comfort zone.

All that worry was replaced very quickly when I opened my package that included OXO’s 10 piece POP Container Set, 4.5 quart POP Cereal Dispenser, 3.4 quart POP Cereal Dispenser and 3.5 quart POP Cereal Dispenser.

The flat lids and POP Containers are designed for stacking, which is quite handy when working in a limited space; the same can be said for both the square and rectangular shapes which stack, beautifully.  Add to this the fact that pop-open lids on the Containers and Dispensers can be opened with just one hand, making me one VERY happy baker and mom.

I am showing you the before (mortifying!) and after (WOOHOO!) pictures, but that’s not all.  I set up my own #POPtober OXO Wish-list Pinterest board.  You will be able to see all of the fabulous OXO POP Containers that I want for my home and that I am confident you will find, equally, as useful in yours.

How cool is this? All of these boxes are empty and the contents are, neatly, stored in my pantry.

One of the nicest aspects of this particular #POPtober OXO Wish-list Pinterest board is that you are able to click on the containers you want and the link will take you directly to The Container Store.  If you haven’t heard of The Container Store before, this is a good time to learn about it since it has been offering innovative solutions designed to save space and time for more than 36 years.  Pretty cool, huh?

I have saved the best news for last.  OXO is offering a Facebook Giveaway to win a prize pack worth $500, including your choice of OXO Storage and Organization tools (up to $250) as well as a $250 elfa gift card.  The giveaway runs between Monday, October 13th and Friday, October 31st.

Still not sure if you can benefit from having OXO POP Storage and Organziation containers?  Since I started using my OXO POP Storage Containers we are, actually, eating the food in the pantry and not throwing it away.  Prior to my newly found organizational system, I had no idea what was in the pantry.  I could see the big bags; however, other than the larger ones, the rest were pretty much left on their own, screaming for attention.

Now, we are able to see exactly what we have and we are enjoying all of the food.  Samuel is able to, easily, open each one and I am the happiest of all, because I LOVE how organized my gorgeous pantry is…NOW!

About Betsy

Happylicious By Betsy December 2015 lo res I have loved desserts for as long as I can remember. Growing up I loved the smell of freshly baked challah in my maternal great-grandmother’s kitchen, the incredible butter cookies from my paternal grandmother and the perfect pies my mother used to bake when company came over. More about me.
