GODIVA Truffle Flights™

GODIVA Truffle Flights™

“There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles;” author unknown. Although we don’t know who was brilliant enough to come up with such a profound statement, I most certainly know that the individual and I speak the same language.

Someone recently asked me if I eat dessert every night. “Of course!” She followed up by asking what I like to snack on at night. My response, “Chocolate…” The ‘…’s are because there are just too many chocolate combinations and possibilities to answer with only one.

I love chocolate in desserts; it is fun to bake with. I find it fascinating to watch chips melt so beautifully with the ingredients in which they are being baked. I also love to eat chocolate, be it in chip, bar or truffle form.

When travelling, I always research ahead of time what chocolatiers are in the area. I lean toward dark chocolates, but find that exceptional chocolatiers offer white chocolate delectables too good to overlook.

I am very fortunate to have a GODIVA Store that is about five minutes from my home. Dangerous, to be sure! I always know that when I stop at the mall, there is an Open Oyster Chocolate with my name on it and a tube of Chocolate Covered Cashews begging to go home with me. How can I possibly say no to chocolates made with extraordinary richness, premium quality and iconic style?

As if GODIVA’s offerings were not enough, guess what they have done now? C’mon, let your chocolate imagination run rampant through your chocolate fantasy wish list.

Ok, I’ll spare the suspense…Truffle Flights! There are six new GODIVA Truffle Flights™ assortments, each one consisting of six well thought out and perfectly formed truffles. The truffles are lined up in the order that Godiva recommends eating. It is apparent that GODIVA spent a great deal of time mastering the presentation of these truffles.

I decided it was far more beneficial to my taste buds and for purposes of this post to stop by the store and buy four boxes of GODIVA Truffle Flights™. I did NOT get through all four boxes before writing this post; however I certainly managed to eat quite a few, only in the interest of ‘helping’ all of you understand how the truffles taste.

In the store I ate a Salted Almond Truffle and thought I had died and gone to heaven. GODIVA’s Almond Truffles have always been one of my favorites, but they took that very simple truffle and put it on steroids (not literally!) by adding perfectly roasted and salted almond pieces to the outside. WOW!

At home to further ‘help’ you, I also tried the Pecan Caramel, Butterscotch Walnut, Chocolate Lava Cake, Aztec Spice, Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu and Pistachio Truffles. Three letters summarize my reaction, O-M-G!!! The Pistachio Truffle almost had me speechless except that I kept saying, “OH MY GOD” over and over again. They are this good.

Because I have always gravitated towards foods that offer a combination of tastes and textures, I considered myself a perfect fit to become a Brand Ambassador for GODIVA’s Truffle Flights™. I was very excited when I was selected through Triberr, a community of bloggers with the same interest who share their blogs and web content with one another through various Tribes, to help spread the news about these amazing truffles.

By taking the finest ingredients and creating these new Truffles, GODIVA has ensured that one bite will make one’s taste buds feel like they have taken flight into a whole new stratosphere.

Still not tempted? Then you absolutely MUST watch the GODIVA Truffle Flights™ Video….

I KNOW you will be ordering your very own boxes. Good luck picking just one!

Disclosure: I am bringing this post to you through my partnership with GODIVA and sharing the news about their #TruffleTakeoff Tour. The thoughts expressed here today are soley mine and not influenced by GODIVA. They were, however, inspired by GODIVA’s exceptional quality.

About Betsy

Happylicious By Betsy December 2015 lo res I have loved desserts for as long as I can remember. Growing up I loved the smell of freshly baked challah in my maternal great-grandmother’s kitchen, the incredible butter cookies from my paternal grandmother and the perfect pies my mother used to bake when company came over.
