Mom’s Favorite Recipes
Today is Mother’s Day and I can’t think of a better way of saying, “I love you” to my mom than to put together a collection of Mom’s Favorite Recipes. My mom is a fantastic baker. When her baking confidence wanes Mom plows through, knowing that I am a phone call or text away.
These recipes are for my mom, my dad’s girlfriend Eunice who I love like mom and all the other moms of the world who are there for their kids through thick and thin. May you be treated to all the love, warmth and sweets your deserve and, hopefully, someone will fix you one of the following delicious options.
Chocolate Nutella Bread
Bring a little decadence to the day with Chocolate Nutella Bread
Budge’s Brownies
The original recipe for Budge’s Brownies came from one of my mom’s closest friends. They qualify as comfort food, decadent treats and a recipe that will quickly become one of your favorites, too.
Nana’s Butter Cookies
My Nana is a lady I miss ever day. I grew up spending one day a week at Nana and Poppop’s house watching B-Rated movies and eating LOTS of Nana’s Butter Cookies.
Nana’s Rice Pudding
Another favorite that I devoured at Nana and Poppop’s house was Nana’s Rice Pudding. It is not your typical rice pudding. This one has a fabulous bottom layer of rice and raisins covered with a creamy layer that combines into the best rice pudding I have ever tasted.
Mom’s Stawberry Pie
Mom is an expert pie maker and Mom’s Strawberry Pie is the best of the best. It is an easy recipe to make, you just have to take it one step at a time. Bursting with berry flavor, whipped cream and cream cheese!
Chocolate Martini
It’s five o’clock somewhere, right? Mom deserves a Chocolate Martini. You can decide what time to share this with her.
