Mocha Madness Milkshake #SundaySupper
Summer Chillin’ is the theme for today’s Sunday Supper and I have the PERFECT recipe…Mocha Madness Milkshake.
Down here in sunny South Florida, the temperature is well into the 90’s most days. This, of course, means that I want something icy cold, creamy and delicious.
What sets this milkshake apart from others is the decadent chocolate creamy base. The idea for this base came to me after making Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream.
The thick chocolate mixture blends beautifully with coffee ice cream and milk to create the most heavenly mocha milkshake. I just HAD to call it Mocha Madness Milkshake.
Some people may be inclined to enjoy Mocha Madness Milkshake for dessert. I on the other hand believe a drink this scrumptious must be served at the beginning of your meal. It’s like drinking a glass of milk….a very, very ‘special’ one!

- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 ounce semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons water
- 12 scoops coffee ice cream (almost 1½ quarts)
- ½ cup milk (skim, 1%, 2% or whole)
- chocolate sauce (optional)
- Combine the cocoa powder, sugar, chocolate chips and water into a small bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave for 30 seconds more, if necessary and stir until smooth.
- Place the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Place the ice cream into a blender. Add the chocolate mixture and milk. Blend until the mixture is processed.
- Drizzle chocolate sauce onto the sides of a glass. Pour Mocha Madness Milkshake into the glass and serve.
