Jelly Bean Peep Jars

March 5, 2016 By Betsy Cohen

Jelly Bean Peep Jars

Jelly Bean Peep Jars are so easy to assemble and children of all ages can participate. Perfect for Easter!

I am one of the least crafty people you will ever meet.  I can’t draw a straight line to save my life and when I look at a blank piece of paper, I see white where others see the possibility of a colorful Monet. However, when I see jelly beans I see a world of potential like these Jelly Bean Peep Jars.

Easter candy is so pretty.  The shades of pastel colors make me happy and inspire me to come up with something perfect for all ages.

Peeps, those marshmallowy creatures, are coated in colorful sugar and work beautifully as the ‘crown’ on top of the jelly bean castles.

I learned a very valuable lesson when I made Jelly Bean Peep Jars.  I thought there would be equal numbers of each jelly bean color but this is not the case.  Keep this in mind if your favorite colors are purple, green or orange.

My favorite part about Jelly Bean Peep Jars is that they are so easy to assemble and children of all ages can participate.  For those of you who are craftier than I, decorate the outside of the jars and send me a picture.  I would love to see where your imagination takes you.

About Betsy

Happylicious By Betsy December 2015 lo res I have loved desserts for as long as I can remember. Growing up I loved the smell of freshly baked challah in my maternal great-grandmother’s kitchen, the incredible butter cookies from my paternal grandmother and the perfect pies my mother used to bake when company came over. More about me.
