Sunshine Margarita

  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 limes, one for zesting and juicing, one for garnishing
  • 3 tablespoons Sunchowder’s Emporia Fresh Apricot Vanilla Bean Tuaca Jam
  • ½ cup tequila
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons simple syrup, personal preference
  1. For the sunshine margarita:
  2. Combine the zest, juice of 1 lime, jam, tequila and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Shake and pour over a glass filled with ice cubes.
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge.
  4. Betsy’s tidbits:
  5. If you prefer a smooth consistency, puree the drink in a blender or food processor.
  6. Simple syrup can be made by bringing ¾ cup water and ¾ cup sugar to a boil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Cool completely.
