Other toppings may be used such as nuts, fruit sauces and caramel. Add whipped cream and cherries if desired. Freeze brownie bites that are not used to make future sundaes.
Ingredients
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces (116 grams) unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup (146 grams) all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (4 grams) baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups (423 grams) sugar
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon (3 grams) vanilla extract
  • ice cream
  • marshmallow fluff
  • hot fudge
  • sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Line a 9" x 13" baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate together and set aside.
  3. Mix the eggs with sugar and salt. Add the vanilla.
  4. With the mixer running on low speed, add ½ of the chocolate mixture followed by half of the dry ingredients. Blend in the remaining chocolate mixture and then the remaining dry ingredients.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool completely.
  7. Once the brownies are cool, cut into 70 pieces (10 horizontally/7 vertically).
  8. To assemble the sundaes: place a layer of brownie bites on the bottom of the glass bowl. Use a mini scoop to scoop ice cream over the brownie layer. Top the ice cream with either hot fudge or marshmallow fluff. Add another layer of brownie bites. Use a large ice cream scoop to scoop ice cream over the brownie layer. Top the ice cream with either hot fudge or marshmallow fluff (I alternated the layers). Sprinkle fun and colorful sprinkles on top
